We probably have the widest range of wood flooring in the country.
We probably have the lowest prices for wood flooring as well.
We probably can't be beaten on the quality of our solid hardwood and our
engineered wood floors because we attach a lot
of importance to having
satisfied customers.
We specialise in the supply of hardwood flooring direct from the sawmill, and can deliver throughout Great Britain or to a
UK port for export.
We stock both solid wooden flooring and engineered wood flooring in a wide range of hardwood species including
oak, ash, maple, beech, walnut, elm, cherry, iroko, kempas and jatoba.
In some cases these are available in wide, long, traditional
floorboards.
Our engineered wooden flooring in oak can be un-finished (filled and sanded) or pre-finished with a hard wax/oil sealer,
and is suitable for installation over underfloor heating.
Hardwood flooring in solid oak, ash,
walnut and beech, can be tongued and grooved or square edged, with pre-sanding
and micro-bevel optional,
and lighter coloured hardwoods can be pre-stained to give a darker wood floor in medium and
darker shades of oak, and walnut.
The timber for our wood flooring is sourced from managed woods and forests in Europe and Canada and
is kiln-dried at the sawmill to ensure a stable product.
As well as oak engineered flooring, we also supply both single plank
and three strip engineered board in most species.
Engineered Hardwood Flooring.
There have been great advancements in the technology used to produce wood flooring, making engineered floors easier to fit,
maintain and giving them increased durability. Hardwood engineered floors are laid on a dry, flat, solid subfloor, where they
can be fitted as a ‘floating floor’. This subfloor can be a base of concrete, slate, wood, plastic, linoleum or cork.
For added sound and damp insulation, underlay material, usually polyfoam, is placed between the real hardwood floor and the
subfloor – this helps prevent the ‘herd of elephants’ effect that used to be the curse of early wood flooring products.
Our floors, both solid and engineered, are thankfully easy to maintain if simple procedures are followed. These include:
- attaching felt pads to the end of furniture legs,
- only using a damp (not wet) mop when cleaning the floor,
- removing stains while they are still fresh, and drying off any spilt liquid immediately.
In the rare instance of more severe damage to the floor’s surface occurring, a sealer made for hardwood floors can be applied.
Installing wood flooring will give an immediate effect upon the ambience of your home, opening up rooms, creating space
and enabling your reality to match your vision. Of course, fashions change, but the beauty of wooden flooring is that
its durability allows for this, and its timeless qualities move with the vagaries of fashion. Its easy maintenance and
exceptional quality will ensure that you create a long term environment that moves with the times.
We are a family business, give personal service, and aim to supply quality hardwood flooring, at a reasonable price, to the
public
and the trade, regardless of the size of the order.
